My Latest Project

I have two fake hands that I practice on and paint, but its such a hassle to remove the polish off them. Especially glitter or anything black - it just smears everywhere! So this is my solution to my own problem.

Fake nails + wooden skewers and glue = perfect nail displays!!

These are the fake nails I am using.
They are Kiss active square nails, medium length.
I got this pack of 200 for about $4.

This is what the inside of the package looks like.
It comes with Kiss maximum speed nail glue.

These are the wooden skewers,
which also came from Walmart.
This pack of 100 skewers was less than a dollar.

Simple. I glued the nails to the skewers using craft clue (I'm sure regular glue or any glue would work but craft glue was all I could find). Viola! Nail displays that I can paint and easily maneuver by holding the edges of the sticks. The best part is I don't have to worry about removing any polish when I'm done with one design to start the next one; I just move to a new set of nails on the stick!

Crazy Critters

Spring and summer time means it's time for little critters and flowers!
This design took about two hours to paint.
It's a simple green French that looks like grass with various other festive things.
Flowers. Mushroom. Caterpillar.
Butterfly. Ladybug. Dragonfly.

I thought the ladybug looked dark in the first picture
so I took this one so you can see
how red it actually is.

This design was inspired by a youtube video that can be found here
which was inspired by another video (this one).

Wild Safari

Release your wild side.
This is a fairly simple design because it's a French.
I think it's great for summer.
It would also look great on toes, especially with brighter colors.

Zebra, Leopard, Giraffe, Tiger

Then I was editing pictures and threw this one in too.

House MD

House M.D. is hands down my favorite TV show. I can watch that show all day every day. To celebrate the season finale of the seventh season I came up with this "House-themed" design.

 ...................................................................................................

Thumb:
The show logo

Index finger:
pill bottle with Vicodin, the addicting painkiller House takes like candy

Middle finger:
the infamous whiteboard that House uses to solve his cases by making a list of symptoms

Ring finger:
House's over-sized tennis that sits on his desk and often aids in his brilliant thinking process

Pinkie:
the cane; House just wouldn't be House without the cane and that limp

....................................................................................

If you've never seen House, I HIGHLY recommend checking it out.
